Author Jay Wertz to Speak at HISTORICON

Los Angeles, CA (June 30, 2010)
Author, filmmaker and Weider History Group contributing writer Jay Wertz will be presenting three World War II seminars at HISTORICON on July 8-11, 2010, at the Valley Forge Convention Center, 1160 First Avenue, King of Prussia, PA.

"Each year HISTORICON draws about 3500-4000 people from around the world and 100 dealers offering everything you need to recreate military battles from across history," states Bob Giglio,  HISTORICON convention director, "or alternate battles drawn from your own imagination. Scenarios can range from historical ancients to history making moderns, while some even create games from the rich worlds of Sci-Fi and Fantasy."
"I like the challenge of sharing factual history with HISTORICON convention attendees." says Wertz. "They are recreating battles and often changing outcomes.  The resulting discussion of the 'what-ifs' is fun and invigorating for a historian like myself."
The three seminars by Mr. Wertz, with eyewitness material drawn from his upcoming book series War Stories: World War II Firsthand  for Weider History Publications, are: "The Battle for Luzon, December 1941 - May 1942" (Thursday July 8 @ 2 PM); "Stalingrad: The Daily Grind" (Friday July 9  @ 12 PM); "Anecdotal Stories From D-Day to Berlin" (Saturday July 10 @ 1:30 PM).  For more details and to obtain tickets for the seminars, please visit www.historicon.org.
